It’s easy to make your own DIY foaming hand soap once you know the secret. ? In this quick post I’ll show you how to make your own DIY foam hand soap for just pennies per refill so you can save money!
How to Make DIY Foaming Hand Soap
All you need is a foaming hand soap bottle and some dish soap. You can actually buy empty foaming hand soap bottles to do this, but I just get a pretty bottle of foaming hand soap, use it up, and then use the empty bottle for the next refill.
To refill the foaming hand soap, add a few tablespoons of concentrated dish soap to your foaming bottle, fill the rest with water, shake it up, and you’re good to go! Hand soap refills or the whole bottles can be not super eco-friendly, but with this method, you just need one foaming bottle per sink and you can keep refilling it as many times as you’d like. Not only does it save money, it also prevents extra plastic from ending up in the landfill. Win win!
Supplies Needed:
- Empty foaming soap dispensers OR use up a full foaming hand soap
- A few tablespoons of dish soap OR castile soap
I got these pretty soap bottles from Method so I don’t have to reuse an ugly bottle. 😉 But of course they were full of soap originally so I just used them until they were empty and then filled them with a few squirts of dish soap and the rest with water.
