How to Make Homemade Coffee Creamer
So this particular recipe is basically just two ingredients and very simple to make, but still not necessarily healthy. ?But it does have fewer artificial chemicals and preservatives than the store bought stuff.
Ingredients:
- Equal parts sweetened condensed milk and almond milk (or another milk)
- Optional: a splash of vanilla extract
For the bottle, I just kept and cleaned out a giant coffee creamer bottle and took the label off.
Then I poured in some of the almond milk first, because the sweetened condensed milk is pretty sticky and if you put it in first it’s more difficult to mix together.
Next add the cans of sweetened condensed milk one at a time. I’d recommend putting the lid back on and shaking in between each one.
Try to use equal parts of the two main ingredients. I used four cans of sweetened condensed milk and I think most of the container of almond milk.
Finally, add a little vanilla extract to taste, shake it up, and you’re done!
This tastes pretty good, but ultimately I went back to my chemical-ly coffee creamer because this still has some dairy in it (the sweetened condensed milk), and I’m somewhat lactose intolerant, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to avoid dairy. Generally store bought coffee creamer isn’t “real” enough to even be considered dairy haha.
This is definitely a recipe you could play around with to create different flavors, like adding a little cinnamon sugar one time or coconut milk another time to get diffferent flavors of homemade coffee creamer.
