How to Organize Your Fridge for Under $10

Here’s how I organized my side of the fridge (the other part is my roommate’s.. though we didn’t really split it up lol.  I just wanted to use my bins).  I just used Dollar Store see-through bins here.  On the top drawer are snack / lunch kind of things, then there’s a bunch of sauces in the middle, and butter and cheese on the bottom.  I only spent $3 on these but you might want bins for the rest of your fridge too. 🙂

It’s pretty simple to organize your fridge – just choose a few clear or see-through storage bins (these are actually clear but they are fogged up from the cold) and organize your food roughly by type or meal.  My bins seem kind of random, especially the top one, but those tend to be lunch or snack foods like baby carrots and apple sauce plus things like tortillas and turkey lunch meat.

The middle is just sauces because they don’t fit on the side of the fridge (and the bell peppers are just there until I cut them up and freeze them), the tofu is neatly stacked next to my bins, and the bottom drawer is full of delicious things like cheese, cheese, more cheese, and a huge tub of butter.

Sometimes it depends on what food I have on hand what actually goes into the bins and what kind of “category” the food falls under.  Just find a system that works for you and stick with it. 🙂  Even though the food isn’t really stacked or organized in any special way within the bins, adding a few containers to your fridge is an easy way to keep things neat.  Plus you can slide out the bins like drawers to see what’s in the back without knocking over everything in the front.
