Are you frustrated with getting toothpaste out of the tube once you get close to the end? Here’s how to frugally and completely use up a roll of toothpaste with our one easy hack to save money on toothpaste.
One Easy Hack to Save Money on Toothpaste
For this, you’ll need one of two items – either the super frugal version or the store bought version. Basically you need a sturdy squeezy thing to stick on the end to squeeze out the last bit of toothpaste.
They actually make these commercially, but if you buy ground coffee, you’ll most likely have these sturdy looking twisty-tie things that close the bag at the top. I was always wondering if I could use those for something like regular twisty ties and then finally realized it was the perfect size to wrap around a tube of toothpaste!
When you’re done using a bag of ground coffee, take the twisty tie thing off (usually it is somewhat glued on) and then center it at the bottom end of your toothpaste tube and wrap the ends around the toothpaste.
As you get closer to using up the toothpaste, simply push your flattener up the tube to completely squeeze all the product to the top. Hooray!
If it gets messy with toothpaste you can throw it away when you’re done with your toothpaste and make another one from another bag of coffee; otherwise you can reuse it for squeezing future tubes.
